Our Purpose & Vision

Purpose

To Transform Lives With Empathy, Community, And Generosity In A World Where Every ONE Matters

Vision

100 Million Indians On The Ek Ka Josh Journey By 15th August 2030

Why Ek Ka Josh?

Ek Ka Josh means the Power of ONE. Ek Ka Josh was born of the belief that to create social impact, even ‘ONE’ can be a force multiplier. The determination of ONE individual, the dedication of ONE NGO, the decided action of ONE, has the ability to impact many lives.
All of us are sympathetic to the needs of the underserved around us and perhaps also have an intent to give sporadically. However, India’s social development needs are far outpacing the intent to support and that is why we need a shift.
It needs an environment that can shift an individual’s sympathy to empathy and mere intent to genuine generosity in a transparent, encouraging, sustained, and simple way. After all, when an individual’s desire to help meets collective action, it can be a great force for change.
Donating can be sporadic. Giving can be a habit. It is about remaining socially invested and seeing the impact for yourself. Our goal is to nurture the habit of continuous individual Giving. Ek Ka Josh is about creating a social community in a way that engages and encourages it.

FROM SYMPATHY TO EMPATHY
FROM INDIVIDUAL TO COMMUNITY
FROM INTENT TO GENEROSITY

Who We Are

We are a group of professionals who have been moved and inspired by a common thought – what can we do for our India? Ek Ka Josh is our humble mission to connect many like us out there and the countless NGOs and individuals either struggling or striving to help those in need. All they need is our support; the willingness of One individual and determination of One NGO. EKJ belongs to all of us. Help us make it a movement for our India.

Our Approach

Ek Ka Josh is about creating a social community for Giving

Our goal is to create a digital ecosystem that focusses on engaging the Givers to connect with causes, NGOs, and create their own network of Giving. It is only through this that we can make frequent Giving a habit and address India’s social development needs.

  • Givers

We call our donors “Givers” because giving is a way of life.

  • NGOs

The need for support is required by medium and small NGOs that operate in both urban and rural India.

  • Causes

The causes we support span across the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.

  • Community

Ek Ka Josh is a socio-digital platform that aims to leverage the power of communities in giving.

    Our NGO Partners

There are so many innovative approaches that NGOs are adopting to make the world a better place. Each of these organisations has its unique strength. I am glad to see that Ek ka Josh is creating an eco-system where the do-gooders can exchange their stories and people’s resources can be channelised well. There are so many innovative approaches that NGOs are adopting to make the world a better place. With a plethora of funding platforms, it is highly desirable to have one which actually goes beyond just the financial transaction and connects the donors with NGOs in a way that leads
to a mutually beneficial relationship. We look forward to Ek Ka Josh for doing just that

          Frequently Asked Questions

Despite its demands, India’s social and development goals remain largely underserved. The impact of this gap will be felt by the marginalized and at-risk communities even harder in the years to come. Our objective is two-fold: 1. We want to significantly expand the retail donation landscape in India. Ensure that Social Development Organizations/NGOs making an impact have access to the funds they require to bring about a change among sections of society that require support and encouragement in order to live a decent life

It is an audacious vision. 100 million Indians joining the Ek Ka Josh platform is going to be a tremendous challenge. We hope to reach this number by 15th August 2030 - eight years from now. The day and year are symbolic. We celebrate 15th August as our Independence Day, and 2030 is the year by which all countries across the globe have committed to reach their Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations.

The Ek Ka Josh platform is currently being set up, and we require funds to build our technology platform and to run our operations. While the founders themselves have brought in funds, we require additional funds to launch Ek Ka Josh. Our foundational support comes from our initial Angel Donors. With this, we have been able to begin developing our platform. You can be an Angel Donor with a minimum donation upwards of Rs. One Lac. Our website lists our current Angel Donors, and we will recognize your contribution by listing your name. We hope you will be able to join us as an Angel Donor. If you require any further information, you can contact us on ekkajosh.org@gmail.com.

India has one of the largest Social Development Organization (NGOs) eco system in the world. While

doing amazing work on multiple causes across the length of breadth of the country. Ek Ka Josh will

change that they want to bring about. We would like to give NGOs that represent causes from all the
16 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) an opportunity to present their work and the impact that
they are making and use this opportunity to raise funds for the same.
